About
Long before any of this, I was standing on ridgelines waiting for a cloud to move a shadow off a rock face: landscape and wildlife photography. That spawned out of a natural magnetic attraction of being outdoors and a natural convulsive reaction to staring at any Microsoft suite document intended for the greater good of creating "stakeholder value".
The event side came out of nowhere. I was going to shows and festivals constantly, because I loved live music. Never forget the power of music. At some point I started bringing a camera along, purely out of interest. The two instincts collided fast: read the room's light before you raise the camera, find where the night is going to reach its boiling point, and wait there.
That camera never left. It just found new places it draws inspiration from. The curiosity about human experiences grew. People became less annoying and, inspiring, actually.
The landscape and wildlife work is still very much alive. A small collection of fine art prints, for anyone who wants a slower kind of image on their wall.
