The service
Hubristic Donkey provides event photography and videography (concerts, festivals, private events, portrait sessions) and sells landscape and wildlife fine art prints through Etsy. These terms cover enquiries and bookings made through this site.
Enquiries aren't bookings
Submitting the booking form starts a conversation, not a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed once both sides have agreed on date, scope, and price in writing — usually by email. Availability shown in a draft reply reflects the calendar at that moment and isn't held until confirmed.
Pricing and payment
Quotes are based on the current rate card at the time of enquiry. Payment terms, deposits, and any cancellation or rescheduling arrangement are agreed directly, per booking, as part of that confirmation — they're not fixed by a blanket policy here, since events vary too much for one rule to fit all of them.
Image usage and copyright
Copyright in all photographs and video stays with Hubristic Donkey. A booking includes a license for the client or venue to use the delivered images for personal or standard promotional use, as agreed at booking. Reselling, sublicensing, or using the work to train other systems isn't included unless specifically agreed in writing.
Prints
Print purchases are handled through Etsy and are subject to Etsy's own terms and buyer protections in addition to these.
Liability
Every reasonable effort is made to deliver what's agreed, but photography depends on real events and real conditions — equipment failure, illness, or circumstances outside reasonable control can affect delivery. Liability is limited to the value of the booking itself.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
Changes
These terms may be updated occasionally; the date at the top reflects the latest version.
